VTech Wiki

- IMPORTANT RULE REMINDER

It seems no one likes to listen, so guess I should put the important parts in big bold text to get your attention...

Don't create any article that lists the sign offs or sign ons of devices, those article has been removed many times due to it being too trivial to be put on here. Instead put the sign off content into the product's article. Failure to listen will cause a warning followed by a ban lasting a few weeks minimum depending on how bad you've broken the rules.

While some contributors are helpful in the growth and development of this wiki, users that cause disruption to this site may qualify to be blocked. If you see any policy violations or disruption in anyway, please submit them on this page. An admin may block or warn the user depending on severity.

Blocks[]

A block or a ban is a measure used by admins and bureaucrats of the administration to prevent users from editing a wiki. Blocks can be administered to users that violate our rules or cause disruption an incivility of this wiki. Common block reasons include:

  • Vandalism
    • Inserting nonsense into pages.
    • Blanking removing content from pages.
    • Excessive editing of closed fanons that are not yours and without permission.
  • Spam
    • Typing repetitive words or phrases.
    • Advertising external links to persuade or encourage users to visit a site.
      • You can post a link of your wiki, but not on a repetitive or advertisive scale.
  • Trolling
    • Bullying
    • Harassment
    • Causing arguments
    • Insults and calling people names

Please refrain from those behaviors above if you don't want to get banned.

Rules[]

  • Don't lie or tattle-tale. All reports must be honest. If you send us a false report, you will be warned the first time. If done multiple times, you may perhaps be banned. Also please sign your report by adding ~~~~ to the end of your report.

Risk Levels[]

Below are a list of risk levels, and when to use them based on how much of a risk they are to the quality standards of the wiki. Add these right after the user's name in brackets like shown below.

[Low] - Are low in risk of getting banned due to there offenses not being very high in the first place, maybe even low enough to not warrant taking action.

[Medium] - Have had repeated offenses in the more lower numbers, but have done them at a consistent rate to warrant having to take minor action that's more than giving them a warning.

[High] - Reserved to the ones who after warnings, and even temporary bans won't listen, and still continue to do bad on the wiki

[Extreme] - Only those who try really hard to evade any kind of ban that have done many bad things to the wiki such as extreme acts of vandalism, and other things. These people just don't care, and should only really be given this if it's that bad.

Reports[]

MissSonic[Medium]: Disregards the rules of article uniformity by putting the release date as "The Release of ####", never uses infoboxes opting to just put the info that typically goes into one out in the main article body. Even after trying to describe clearly how to edit and make articles in a way that makes the info appear correct and in there right place (like putting things like model number, and date into an infobox), and using poor formatting across most edits. Used to use the wrong categories, but has not done this nearly as much only doing it a few times in the past two weeks.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 08:36, 13 June 2022 (UTC)

45.45.72.30[Medium]: Only contributions to the site has been taking info already in the infobox, and putting it outside of the infobox, and adding useless categories that don't need to exsist. He also creates pages that only has the same info as the other pages he has created.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 23:38, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

EmmaTheMilo[Low]: I've told this user many times to listen to my advice, and to post all false info that is not real to the Fanon VTech wiki, but he never listens, and continues to make articles for fake games and systems. he has also added false info for real products, such as Winnie The Pooh: The Honey Hunt where he added a section for a region lockout feature that the console, let alone the game has. The few instances he had created pages for actual games, he did the same that 45.45.72.30 did, but worse as all he would do was make the page, say that the game is for a console, and once add an image or two, then posts the article. he even once asked me if he could change the name of a Tomas thing, and told her no, still has not listened.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 23:38, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
This user seems to have improved, but still tends to do some of the things mentioned on occasion.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 04:24, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

24.157.29.141'[Medium]: This user has created a page for a character that belongs on the Fanon wiki, same goes for adding false info to the wikiteh_supar_hackr (talk) 23:38, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

BFDI & 90's and 70's Zoom Fan[Low]: Spamming, and only creating articles for each letter of the VTech logo as characters for some reason. The danger level is low due to the user's inactivity.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 03:50, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

'Sebabear2002[Low]: Only contributed false info such as a "sploit screen The danger level is low due to the user's inactivity.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 03:50, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

132.219.143.5[High]: Keeps ruining articles, and creating articles that does not need to exist.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 00:56, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
This user is still doing the same thing, and has removed notices for pages under construction. Level changed to high.teh_supar_hackr (talk) 03:42, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
