I really wish there was a way we could watch walkthroughs/playthroughs/gameplays of InnoTab/InnoTab MAX/InnoTV games. I particularly want to see a playthrough on the Finding Dory game.
What's on your mind?

I'm currently working on a video talking about strange and odd facts relating to the V.Smile, and was wondering if any of you knew of any.
Some notable facts I've got so far are;
While the VTech brand is well known for never having violence, some Chinese V.Smile games like ABC Park Adventure has one of the puzzle icons you must identify be of a soldier holding a rifle. I think this only shows up in more advanced modes.
One of the most obscure mascots from VTech is this unknown CGI fish which can be seen in one commercial for the V.Smile Motion in Europe (likely France).
That jingle heard when completing a Learning Zone mini game in ABC Park Adventure is sampled from "Der Fuehrer's Face" by Spike Jones which btw is a anti-Nazi song from when everyone was trying to fight back against the Nazis in WW2. Yes, this technically means that a V.Smile game references WW2, even if it is a technicality.
The door sounds from Doom (1993) are used in The Batman Gotham City Rescue game. (I know it's really a stock sound that both games used, just lemme have this one)
In the Winnie the Pooh Press 'n Play Laptop and Picture Conputer, Pooh's voice sounds very different, and I'm definitely sure Jim Cummings didn't voice him. Who filled in for him?

Very early go go smart wheels cars says “Goodbye!” Instead of playing a short tune during auto power off sequence, but in 2013, they changed to short tune, wonder if any played a short tune the cars released in 2012?
Hi!
So, I have another obscure VTech toy in German: A learning laptop called "Mr. Laptop" from 2004 or 2005.
Do you know if this exists in English? I've never heard of an English version so far!
I have a German VTech toy called "Benjamin Blümchen Buchstabenbus" from the German "Lörni"-Series. The toy is based on the German audiobook series "Benjamin Blümchen".
What I want to know: Is there an English version of this VTech Bus or is that a rare German exclusive?

And who voiced Gadget in the UK
My last post was about alphabert but i found this… it looks to have alphabert and chip color scheme… so it could have been released after alphabert and chip? So maybe 2001 at the latest? Maybe even early 2002…
Either way… ive seen learning robot before but never this version if i remember… colors are weird…

Futé in french means smart… so its (litteraly) roby the smart… i presume people who speak french dont refer to people as “Andy The smart”, its probably just a janky translation… vtech has weird names for french items… i still like them though and while i dont collect anymore i definitely will get any alphabert variants i see… especially this…
This appears to resemble alphabert a lot more than reading robot… so this could have came before it and they just ended up using this color scheme for alphabert and chip… not sure…
This was a remake of the original version of Alphabet Park Adventure made for PC by Beta Parappa from Discord, unfortunately he seems to have disappeared from the internet and decided to backup the gameplay footage from him so it stays safe.
This version of the game had a few features such as simultaneous co-op, and better physics and movement during gameplay.
Two important things to keep note of, first of all this does not have a download link to the game, and likely never will due to the fact that a public build does not exist. The other thing is that this is not the same as the other remake which set to remake everything in 3D while still being in a 2D perspective (known as 2.5D).
You can watch the gameplay video here.
The following was lifted from there current end of life page as of 4/6/23.

From The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XVIII (aka S19e5), and Smart and Smarter (aka S15E13). I know this is parodying a VTech or LeapFrog device, and in the show is named Phonic Frog, but don't know what. In an episode it was shown to speak the pronounciations of letters when a button was pressed.
Found a page on the 2004 archives of VTech's site found in "http://www.vtech.com:80/pub/Jokesite/funMovie/"
is some kind of site that hosted funny images and movies. Sort of felt internal like it was just a think the employees did to pass the time.
The index page has it's page title say "leba.com", but at this time that url was on sale. There's an FAQ linked on this page but the two questions amount to "What is this?/idk", and "How do I become member/pay the fine". I know it's poor translation from Chinese to English but it still feels oddly vague. I'll put a table below on the videos that are available. If you go to one of the search.php pages you can find an index of some of these videos. All of them are of old commercials at the time of course compressed heavily for web standards. Despite every page under this Jokesite name being in Chinese, the commercials and videos are mainly in English. A few I noticed has this watermark flash at the lower corner, "viralx.com" which was a primitive site for sharing viral videos and images which is what this site is. The section of the site was last used around 2005. Outside of a small sample none of the images or videos will be hosted from this sub domain on here due to it not being that relevant towards VTech.

Known as Planet VTech, it's only currently found from a few screenshots outside of the official manual which is still up on the official VTech page.
Some assets from archives of the original site
Here is the actual prototype V.Smile logo in high quality which was lost to time for nearly 20 years.

(it's on page 19 btw)
I am currently reverse-engineering the german "Genius Leader 8008 CX" laptop. As with all models of that "CX" range, it is equipped with a non-standard serial port to connect the "MagiCam" digital camera and the "E-Mail-Set" modem, which works great :-)
VTech also sold a bespoke version of the sync software, called "PC-Link PLUS", which allowed file transfers between a Windows computer and the laptop (CX models store everything in their "VTFS" file system, so everything is a file). It is a completely separate and incompatible piece of software than the regular "PC-Link" or the later "IQ Link" program.
I fear the "PC-Link PLUS" software might be lost forever, since no one seems to have bought the accessory back in the days, so there is nothing on eBay. I even wrote to VTech directly, but they just answered with their default "no longer supported" and/or "our license for distributing the software expired" reply. Bummer. I even started disassembling the protocol ROM, but it has several nested state machines which are really hard to reverse-engineer.
So, my call to action…
Does anyone of you happen to have that software sitting around somewhere? Please contact me if you do!
Cheers!
